What is the Sitemap

By the word Sitemap this thing will immediately come to your mind about the Map Of The Site. As you have seen the map of the World , Your Country, Your State/Province, Your City. By seeing the map you travel from side to side. Like this there is a sitemap of your blog/site. You must submit it to the Google to get your search results.

Why To Submit A Sitemap

It is a kind of SEO.
It recruits traffic to your blog/site.
It is important to get traffic so, you will not get traffic without submitting a Sitemap.

How to Submit It

In this tutorial I am separating this tutorial to 2 basic parts. In the first step you should verify your blog/site on Google Webmaster Tools. The second is to submit it to Google.

Let's Do It

Step 1:

Verify Your Site on Google Webmaster

Go to Google Webmaster >> Sign in
Click Manage >> Add or Remove Users

Now, Click Manage Site owners >> Verify Using Different Mehods
Tick the HTML Tag

Now, Meta Tag Will appear
Now , Go To Blogger >> Template >> Edit HTML

Search For

<head>

And add the meta tag just after <head>
Click Save

Now, Open Webmasters Tab

Click Verify Button

Now You will see congratulations message that you've successfully verified your blog in webmaster tools. Now it's time to submit the sitemap.

Part 2

Now, Click Optimization >> Sitemaps

Now, Click Add/Test Sitemap
A box will appear
If you have posts between 1-500
Then add that code in the box

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

If More Than 500

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=500&max-results=1000
